The 22-paddler Team was a mixed group of members from the CBRP Team and the Youth Team. The Team competed against 37 teams from different countries in the ASEAN region.
Recognized locally and nationally as a strong contender in Dragon Boat Competitions, the Barangay Carmen Dragon Boat Team has been reaping awards from various regional and national competitions. This latest competition in international waters is sure to be a memorable experience for the Team.
Coach Suhod Hakim, former member of the Philippine National Dragon Boat Team, went with the Team, together with Kag. Sunny Rae D. Cahayag and Kag. Kristian Dale L. Dabatian. Chaperoning the Team and extending moral support were Kag. Lorna V. Uy, Kag. Angelo Sabanal, Kag. Jun Castro, SK Chair Kenneth Sacala, Bgy. Secretary Aronne Tumanilak, and Bgy. Treasurer Darlyn Waga.
